Abstract :
Flameproof enclosures are used in electrical apparatus so that, if gas enters and is ignited within the enclosure, the flame will not be able to ignite the external atmosphere. The enclosure must also be strong enough to withstand the force of an internal explosion without bursting, cracking or momentarily opening up any of the joints to an unsafe value
