Abstract :
A non-uniform sensitivity of the detector array used in a fan-beam scanner causes circular artefacts which interfere with the picture of the object slice reconstructed from the measured projections. An additional shift of the detector array is proposed here to reduce the amplitude of the artefacts considerably.
