Abstract :
Images of a reactor test fuel pin under induced stress, recorded in the first pinhole experiment (PINEX) at the TREAT reactor, were analyzed with image enhancement techniques and mensuration algorithms. Temporal changes in the pin diameter were observed. Signal from materials surrounding the fuel correlated with expectations. Techniques for background removal were examined.
