Kanai Award Honors Work in Distributed SystemsIn recognition of his contributions to the scientific foundations of real-time distributed computing, K. H. (Kane) Kim received the 2005 IEEE Computer Society Tsutomu Kanai Award. James Gosling, recipient of the 2004 Kanai Award, was recognized for contributing to advances in distributed computing systems by inventing the Java language system.
