Abstract :
We have built a liquid argon/iron calorimeter that will serve as a prototype for an instrument that will be used in an experiment at Fermilab. This calorimeter allows measurements of the direction of the hadronic shower, as well as its energy, to be made. The calorimeter is approximately 685 gis/cm2 thick and so sufficient to contain hadron energies up to 150 GeV. Various design features of the system are discussed.
