Abstract
The author measured the properties of two multianode photomultipliers (H4139 and XP4702) as photon detectors for scintillating fibers. In particular, the crosstalk between channels as a function of an axial magnetic field, as well as the gain in such a field was measured. The timing properties of such an array for minimum ionizing particles were determined. The results indicate that such a system can be used as a tracking detector in high rate environments
