Abstract :
Low noise detecting channels can be used with the proportional counter to design portable X-ray analyzers. Using a 256-channel A/D-converter in combination with a microcomputer the overlapping of spectral lines can be eliminated. The absolute contents of chemical elements can be computed in the same microcomputer.
