Abstract
An AM-video transmission system is demonstrated which achieves the highest power budget reported to date for a 42-channel AM-VSB system by employing a linearized dual output Mach-Zehnder and a novel low noise receiver. The dual output M-Z gives effectively as 23 dB power budget which can facilitate up to 64-way splitting with the remaining 3 dB for subscriber distribution applications.<>
