Abstract :
One of the current flavors of the month seems to be meta or left-handed materials. The author discussed his skepticism regarding this topic. His skepticism was aggravated not so much by the recent flurry of peer-reviewed papers but an article in a popular science weekly that proclaimed that the "new and exciting developments" in meta-materials could lead to the actual implementation of Harry Potter\´s invisibility cloak
