Abstract :
A new safety factor that should be applied to the measured specific absorption rate for two types of homogeneous phantoms is proposed. The frequency dependent factor is higher for a homogeneous rectangular box phantom than the arbitrary correction factor 2 defined by CENELEC and it better simulates the realistic exposure of workers from base station antennas
