Abstract :
The first terrestrial field trial to use six novel 1.48 μm pumped hybrid (two-stage-type remotely-pumped EDF+distributed Raman) inline-type amplifiers is successfully demonstrated; it offers 1.28 Tbit/s capacity and 100 GHz spacing over a record 528 km (6×88 km) of installed-DSF in a straight line in the L-band
