Abstract :
An integral result inspired by previous work is investigated numerically and analytically. As results show, a custom-made integration routine is several times faster than the native routines, which might be beneficial for cases in which many integrals must be carried out. Based on a result from 1975 by Herrick and Stillinger, we present a custom integral routine written in Maple. This routine is several times faster than a native integration routine and might be beneficial in cases where many integrals must be carried out. The Web extra is the supplied program mentioned in the article.
