  • Abstract
    Considerable engineering effort has been expended to design an easy-to-use man-machine communication system for the CANDU nuclear power station to provide the operator with relevant, uncluttered, process information immediately, on request, or in response to certain process upsets. This paper will discuss the considerations that influenced the design of the computer-driven coloured CRT display system and its applications in the control room of the CANDU type nuclear power stations.
