Stochastic Contingency Analysis

A probabilistic formulation for the steady state contingency analysis is presented. The formulation takes into account load and generation data uncertainties and considers the occurrences of contingencies as random variables. Result s are obtained in a direct calculation and presented in a compact form in terms of expected values, standard deviations and confidence intervals.
