Abstract :
A new simple algorithm is presented for the calculation of the self and mutual inductance of coaxial circular coils, based on Bartky´s transformation. The algorithm is applicable over the entire range of coil sizes, shapes and degrees of coupling. It is extremely efficient and produces results to a specified and arbitrary accuracy. The method may be extended to calculate the inductance of coils of finite thickness using two-dimensional quadrature formulae.
