Abstract :
A beamforming method for estimation of the direction-of-arrival (DOA) and distance in the presence of impulsive noise using a phased array with antenna switching is proposed. The proposed robust beamformer is nonlinear in nature and uses the absolute value loss function. Experiment results demonstrate that the proposed method is satisfactorily verified using experimental data from the developed 24 GHz phased array system with antenna switching.
