Abstract :
The performance of wireless optical communication systems is affected by transmitter sway. In this letter we develop a model that relates the bit error probability with the sway parameters. In the system considered, the transmitter is equipped with the diffraction-limited circular aperture which is uniformly illuminated and non-obscured. Accordingly, the far-field effect is described by the Bessel function of the first kind of order one. The optimization results are reported.
