Abstract
The aim of our work was to produce a simulation model of a motor protection switch (MPS) for stationary coupled calculation of current and temperature fields using the finite element method and to determine the parts of the MPS which are overheated. The verification of the model has been performed using the measuring of temperatures on two MPS samples with thermocouples
