Abstract :
The complex propagation constant and the impedances of a pipe-enclosed cable are studied at the high frequencies common to transmission line surges. The case of eccentric cable positions within the pipe is solved by the use of conformal transformation. The results are closed form expressions which do not necessitate the evaluation of infinite series as common heretofore. As a consequence more efficient computer programs for transmission line transients can be written.
