Abstract :
Induced field currents and voltages are determined from a distributed equivalent network solution of the time varying magnetic field over the cross section of a turbine generator. The results are compared with shop test results, both for locked rotor and for rated speed conditions. An example is presented in which the field voltage is calculated during asynchronous operation.
