Abstract :
Based upon a simple concept, the phenomenon of false-locking is described and the locking range characteristics of a long-loop phase-locked receiver exposed to a signal contaminated with a cochannel interfering tone are presented. Also, the limiting condition of synchronisation in such a situation is obtained
