Abstract :
In the 1950s, the dilemma for working women - then as now - was how to combine work with raising a family. Despite having fewer options available then, the author managed to smoothly blend family and work responsibilities. In this part of her memoirs as a programmer, the author explains how she did so while working first for Burroughs and later for Philco.
