Abstract
A new subgridding technique is presented for the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. The connection between the grid and the subgrid is realized by means of equivalent currents. The ratio of the steps of the grids can be arbitrarily large, and no significant reflection is produced from the grids interface. The principle of the method is presented in the continuous three dimensional space. The FDTD algorithm is described in detail in the one dimensional case
