            Abstract : 
This under sodium viewing system has been developed for identifying fuel subassemblies placed in optically opaque high temperature liquid sodium. This system has a transducer for emitting and receiving ultrasonic waves in liquid sodium, scanning mechanism under liquid sodium and an image display unit. The evaluation test results are; 1) This system has been proved to operate satisfactorily under 300°C sodium for 15 days. 2) These images, obtained from the experiments in liquid sodium, were as celar as those in room temperature water.
