Abstract
A load-flow model is presented which is at least 50% faster than the traditional fast decoupled load flow model as described by B. Stott and O. Alsac (1974). Reasons for the speedup are considered, and details of the model´s performance are given. The performance of the model is investigated by examining a number of power systems, the largest of which is a 1435-bus system
