Abstract :
The leakage of system generated electromagnetic fields through typical satellite cable shields is discussed. In particular, it is noted that SGEMP electric fields can be particularly intense under space charge limited conditions. This fact emphasizes the possible importance of transfer admittance coupling. The implications of these results on cable shield testing are discussed and some laboratory cable shield test results presented.
