Abstract :
A weighted minimum variance controller is described for nonsquare multivariable systems. The controller is a generalization of the scalar case which can ensure stability even when the system is open-loop unstable and nonminimum phase. Moreover, as the control weighting tends to zero, asymptotic stability is guaranteed.
