Abstract
For the original article see ibid., vol.38, no.7, p.807-10 (1991). It is pointed out that diagonal Lyapunov functions have been used to unify and generalize, to the time-varying case, stability criteria for a class of discrete-time nonlinear systems that includes models of digital filters subject to most of the usual nonlinearities of truncation and overflow. Many of these criteria have cropped up several times in the recent literature. The above-titled paper by T. Bose and M.-Q. Chen is one example. A reply by Bose and Chen is included.<>
