Abstract :
A multiwavelength waveguide laser array operating in the C-band of optical communications has been fabricated on Er-Yb-doped phosphate glass by Ag-Na ion exchange. Single frequency output power in excess of 1 mW and low relative intensity noise have been demonstrated at four ITU grid wavelengths ranging from 1533 to 1560 nm.
