Abstract :
The author report the first demonstration of the detection of magnetic fields at frequencies above 50 kHz in a fibre-optic magnetometer using a technique which employs mixing of the signal with the field from a local oscillator. A flat response from 0.1 Hz to near 1.0 MHz is shown.
