Abstract :
The authors compare winding temperature predictions from a finite-element-based method with actual measured values for a 10 kVA oil-immersed wire-wound single-phase distribution transformer. The results confirm the prediction algorithm and illustrate that the position of the hot spot remains basically unchanged when harmonics are present
