Abstract :
Recent increases in inflation rates make it essential that inflation be properly treated in engineering economic analysis. This paper develops a systematic and internally consistent approach to the treatment of inflation in such analyses. The problems of inconsistent treatment of inflation are discussed and several examples are given.
