Abstract :
A new closed-loop control scheme is proposed for the control of a radial network by an on-line computer. The control objectives are the substation bus power factor and voltage regulation, and the balanced loading of transformers operating in parallel. The overall control strategy is decomposed into independent control objectives which are ordered to meet a hierarchy of priority requirements. To reduce the computational effort, the radial load bus network is decomposed into subnetworks. The control criteria and mathematical model for each subnetwork are formulated for the purpose of derivation and simulation of control actions. The procedure which tends to optimize the total process is also included with numerical results.
