Abstract :
Sending man into space is considerably more expensive than getting a robot to do the job, so why do we continue to do it? The President of the UK´s Royal Society, Lord Rees of Ludlow, recently told the BBC that Europe should give up on sending men and women into space and focus instead on unmanned missions.
