            Abstract :
Techniques that can be used to provide corrosion-resistant layers for NdFeB magnets are discussed along with methods of assessing the long-term reliability of coatings. Tests show good results with IVD (ion-vapor-deposited) aluminum and cathodic electropaint deposited coatings, with significantly less corrosion protection being found with other coatings. Results are also discussed for a combined layer of aluminum and cathodic electroplating
