  • Abstract
Strategic planning has had a prominent position within the IEEE Communications Society for as long as I can remember. While each officer and organizational entity has inherently included strategic planning as part of their duties, the official focal point within ComSoc has been its "Strategic Planning Committee." One challenge facing any strategic planning activity, including ComSoc\´s, is that the future is "certainly" uncertain. In the paragraphs that follow, Stu Personick, ComSoc\´s esteemed Strategic Planning Committee Chair, will provide a snapshot of how his committee has been working toward shaping an uncertain future that aligns with the interests of our members, the communications industry, and broader humanity.
