  • Abstract
It is pointed out that the determination of the gradient of magnetic fields, e.g. for deflection-type magnetic separators, necessitates an accurate measurement of the field distribution. An automatic measuring device which satisfies the imposed conditions is described. A comparison of the design calculation using the finite-element method and the measured field profile is shown
