Abstract :
A new structure to power a passive tag from an incident RF wave is presented. A test chip has been realised in a 0.18 mum standard CMOS process. Measurement results of the proposed structure and of a traditional voltage multiplier are compared in the same process. Efficiency improvement is observed from an input power of -13 dBm, leading to more available output power for a given communication range
