Abstract :
For pt.1 see ibid., vol.1, no.9, p.273-6 (1992). The author considers a wide range of activities as potential material for a continuing professional development (CPD) portfolio, including techniques similar to those used to rate National Vocational Qualifications applied to selected working experiences as distinct from courses. Existing course credit rating systems are reviewed together with techniques for assessing or accrediting prior learning with a view to quantifying CPD, should the individual, a company, and/or a professional body require evidence for continuing or advancing professional qualification
