Abstract
Yahoo Inc., recently established Yahoo Research to improve its performance as far as innovation is concerned. In an interview with Yahoo Research head, Prabhakar Raghavan, he said that the group is focusing on five key research areas, namely search and text mining, data mining and machine learning, computer-human interaction, large-scale computing, and intersection of microeconomics and computer science, especially auction theory. Raghavan also explains how Yahoo Research compares with other similar corporate research groups.
