Abstract :
Distortion owing to overmodulation of a directly modulated semiconductor laser has been analysed by modelling the semiconductor laser as a static limiter. The authors present some preliminary results on dynamic effects in overmodulation of semiconductor lasers and discuss the applicability of the static model
