Transmission model for coils near flat conducting medium simulating wireless body area network at 10.8 MHz

Transmission between small antenna coils at 10.8 MHz is investigated in free space and near a flat, conducting medium for different separations between the coils and heights above the medium. Models are derived, and a physical explanation is given. Excellent agreement is obtained between the measurements and the models.
