Abstract :
This paper presents the results of a study on how users choose between two technology solutions that are nearly identical. In this study, two popular web browsers were considered: Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) and Mozilla´s Firefox version 1.0. The study brings into light a number of characteristics that affect users´ perception of a technology and their decision to switch.
