Abstract
Recent progress in integrated filter circuits offers a new technique for the realization of nuclear pulse shaping systems using Charge Coupled Devices (CCD´s). These devices provide an extremely effective tool for filtering problems both for pulse height and time interval analysis. The filter characteristic and observation time can be easily adapted to various signal and noise conditions. The paper emphasizes the aspects of the implementation of a general purpose signal processor for nuclear pulse shaping. The auxiliary circuits are described. Finally the measurement results for pulse spectroscopy and time interval measurements are presented. A Cusp factor of CF=1.02 and a resolution of FWHM=142eV has been achieved within a Fe55 ¿-spectrometer.
