Abstract
A novel method for the reduction of the peak-to-average power ratio of multicarrier modulation systems is proposed. The reduction problem is rewritten to a combinatorial optimisation and is solved using the Hopfield neural network (HNN), which has a simple structure and is suitable for real-time optimisation. Simulation results show that the HNN is more effective than the selected mapping method.
