Abstract :
It is shown that a filamentary beam of monoenergetic electrons having a controlled amount of angular momentum and caused to traverse a Cuccia coupler can produce negative energy absorption near the cyclotron frequency, if relativistic effects are taken into account. No threshold angular momentum for the onset of negative absorption is predicted.
