Abstract
We have calibrated the analyzing magnet (Danfysik 90° sector, double-focussing, 2 m radius) serving the CRNL 2 MV High Voltage Mass Separator. The method depends on a measurement of the time-of-flight, and thus of the velocity, of magnetically analyzed ions of known mass and charge state. Results have been obtained for ions in the mass range 1-208 amu for fields 0.4-12.8 kG.
