Abstract :
The authors describe how to extend the multiple-accelerated boundary-element method for 3-D capacitance computation to the case where conductors are embedded in an arbitrary piecewise-constant dielectric medium. Results are presented to demonstrate that the method is accurate, has nearly linear computational growth, and can be nearly two orders of magnitude faster than the standard boundary-element method based on matrix factorization
