Abstract :
A method is described and analysed for measuring accurately small changes in capacitance. It employs a ramp signal applied to a bridge circuit and measures the unbalanced signal on an oscilloscope. The method lends itself to remote operation and operation in an intermittently electrically noisy environment. The feasibility of such measurements is confirmed experimentally.
