Abstract :
The user needs and industry trends that will drive the evolution of computer-aided software engineering (CASE) are examined. The architecture of CASE´s successor, referred to as computer-aided development and maintenance environments (CADME), is examined. The development of a standard for information-resource dictionary systems is discussed.<>
